🎉 Introducing Braille Blocks — Music and Literacy Through Touch
We’re thrilled to unveil Braille Blocks, our latest project making music and literacy more accessible through tactile learning. Using real LEGO® Braille Bricks and your iPhone or iPad, Braille Blocks lets users read letters and words, and even compose music—all by placing bricks on a board and watching them come to life through the app.
With Braille Mode, learners can build letters, words and numbers, which the app then reads aloud. Switch to Music Mode and those same bricks become musical notes in a looping sequencer—supporting both standard and solfege notation. It’s a hands-on, fully accessible way to explore rhythm, melody and language through touch and sound.
Braille Blocks is designed with accessibility and engagement at its core, making it a powerful tool for educators, learners and families alike. It’s early days, but we’re already seeing the creative possibilities come to life.
